How to load your new Avatar.

This is for newbies that have just joined us and want to add a nice Avatar.

Just point at your log-in name at the top right-hand side of the webpage and then scroll down to find Avatar and click on it.
Click to expand.

Click on Browse to locate your stored Jpeg Photo to install, if your new photo is a bit large then re-edit it to size 200x 200 pixels, just play around till you get it just right, several times if necessary.

No, that’s Nifty’s 3D printer in the banner heading on this site.

Rob is right on the ball too, it is indeed a 3D printer.

I never noticed that picture, but a Google picture search suggests the printer is a 3 D Systems model Cube printer.

This is strange. When viewing the forum as a guest before logging in I see two alternating banner ads, "Welcome to PK!" and "Why do you refill?". F5 and Crtl+F5 changes nothing. After logging in the the banners are replaced with a stationary smaller banner saying something like "We are still the same forum". This banner can be closed.

This is with Firefox, I see exactly the same with IE.

@PeterBJ what about when you’re logged in, what Banner is visible on the site then ?

On another note maybe we should run a competition on some of the best avatars on show ?

Now I see nothing. Last time I was logged in i closed the smaller banner "We are still the same forum". It has disappeared from both Firefox and IE since. Crtl+F5 doesen't bring it back and running CCleaner makes no difference. Here is a screenshot:
