How long can an R2000 sit between uses?

The combined wisdom is to run at least a nozzle check once a week to help keep the heads clog free. Or you can just run off a test print on copy paper. More important on pigment ink printers.

Dye inks typically have a much wider color gaumet, and are more vibrant, although they are less resistant to fading.

That said, both pigment and dye inks are improving every day...

Yes the R2000 is a pigment ink printer & as Wayne said the pigments don't fade as quick as dye inks. Most photographers use pigment ink printers so their prints last longer but dye prints look more vibrant even though the gap is closing they say.
