BTW, recently printed a lot of photos taken in Hawaii, using the UW8 ink, and they turned out great. Everything from rainforest green to tropical pink flowers, to skin tones, to sunsets, and even some night skies. the UW8 handled the wide range of color just great, both vividly and naturally. Again, very pleased with this ink.

My only complaint about Hobbicolors UW8 ink is they don't market it very well for BCI-6 printers, requiring a special request. :)

For what it is worth, and take this as one data point in the sample, I have used both Hobbicolors and MIS (Image Specialists) ink and have noticed that the MIS ink has a much broader gamut. My Hobbicolors prints are just duller by comparison. Soon I will have profiles to verify this experimentally. I have not tried the UW8 ink that you speak of but unless I get it for free to test will not switch from MIS. I am printing predominantly with the Canon iP4200.
