Hi All,

Does anyone know the internal/operational difference between the two types of CISS tanks shown in the pictures?
The curved one is more than obviously a classic two chambers tank, connected via a short bottom slit.

However, I am not sure how the chambers of the "cornered" tanks on the right side operate.

They have three openings on top, two of them can be filled with ink, and the small in is marked as "air".

I do not know which chamber connects to which chamber, how the air chamber works, how to refill them, or how to tilt them following a refill (to reset the air height).

Any guidance will be highly appreciated.

Best regards,
Theo

just very slowly fill up a tank, and you should be able to see where the internal sections connect for the ink.

or how to tilt them following a refill
Why would you - just close the air vent when you refill the ink , and close the ink hole and open the air vent again for printing, and the air level remains at the bottom.

Have some feedback.
So basically there are three chambers in the "box like" tanks.
The air chamber, the ink chamber and the buffer chamber.
The air chamber is contained in a small rectangle profiled chamber running horizontally through the tank for a fraction of its width and depth (can be marginally seen in the bellow picture right under the middle cap.
The ink chamber occupies picture's R hand side, isolated from the L side buffer with a wall extending from the vertical "thin vertical tube" to the other side of the tank.
The bottom limit of the R side ink chamber is one before outer's bottom horizontal bottom.

The air chamber is connected to the other two chambers through the line shown in the picture:

The zigzag pushes air in the picture's R hand chamber (the ink chamber) and the "column" raises ink from the "ink chamber" to the picture's L hand chamber, the "buffer tank".
The ink line, is connected to the buffer tank (L side).

More to come.
Cheers
Theo
