I searched for the origin of the German method at druckerchannel.de and I think this is the first mentioning of the method by Ritchman
Forum member @Defcon2k reported on Ritchman's posting on Druckerchannel: http://www.printerknowledge.com/thr...n-carts-with-pictures.2187/page-13#post-14893

Defcon2k believes he was the first to introduce the Durchstich method to this forum and that is what I recall as well.

I remember watching Defcon2k's video of this refill method made in December of 2006. Ground breaking stuff for me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hN03kUERQhU

Then there was the beautifully done pictorial Durchstich refilling guide by pharmacist that no doubt greatly increased the number of people using this method on this forum.

What a rich lineage we refillers have!

the german video that defcon2k did was what started me on my road to refilling over 8 years ago

i've kept track of my refill count over the years, now up to 1,128 ink carts refilled

quite the savings over the years

much thx to all on this forum for keeping the refill/savings train chugging along

It all goes to prove that an active printer is a happy printer, printers will die quicker from inactivity rather than over activity.
The German refill method seems favoured by @jimbo123.. :thumbsup
