but I'm going to have a crack at vacuum filling via the exit port.
The standard carts that came with your printer have a very thin wall in them (Setup) so be careful with the vacuum refill because I reckon it may not work and this wall will leak when put under pressure… The XL carts are much better for refilling anyway.. ;)

I've been top-filling for years (never tried the German method) but I'm going to have a crack at vacuum filling via the exit port. The vacuum would probably be more assured with the ball seal still in place rather than a removable bung.

When I was flushing via the Durchstich needle, a substantial part of the water came out via the serpentine.
Without this opening the vacuum method would not be possible, so I suppose you can flush via that way too.
 
Top
