I checked by dipstick method using a pin. When I pulled out the pin, I could see the color. Hence right now all three color inks are there in the tri-color cartridge.
As of now, my idea was to top off some ink. I inject say 2ml slowly and if it seems to come to the top stop else try another ml or so but not beyond that.
I am wondering if there could be air lock inside the sponge? If so, is there a way to clear it? When I dip a pin, i see it gets colored yellow but if I swipe the exit port (bottom of the cart) on a paper tissue, I get only 2 colors and yellow is absent. Hence it cannot be due to any electronics either.
Will I be able to call Canon under warranty (because of using the ink) or just use another cart, if it is not possible to solve?
