My answer is always the same, these firmware updates are for Canons benefit and very seldom for the owners, and never improve the quality of your output, so why bother, leave well enough alone.. If it was critical then you’d get a message from Canon..

If you still worried then why not contact Mikling direct, because he’s constantly bragging how he knows more about Canon printers than anyone, so you’re supposed to disregard all other opinions.. but it’s wise to be more afraid of his erroneous comments..

So just let it be known that I am stupid and illiterate but Hat knows so much more. Good, trust the loudest vessel the HAT.
Hat knows everything about Canon printers. That he is a moderator means he knows everything and can remove anything that he does not agree with. Get the idea?

Trouble is that my work speaks/shows for itself. hat is jealous that someone might know more than he does.

Experiences from older printers as the PRO-9000/9500 and PRO-1 can't be extrapolated without verification to newer models as PRO-10/100 and recently PRO-200/300.
While we as users have the temporarily luxury to stay with the older models, @mikling has to sell ink for the new ones too. As far as I know he is the only one sticking his neck out and share his findings.

Mikling is wrong about a lot of things but is to Feckin ignorant and small to admit to being anything other than pompous, and when he’s call upon to clarify his own mistakes he disappear from the forum till the dust clears, time and time again, smoke and mirrors that’s him..
