Hello! I recently bought an Epson ET-18100 off of Amazon and had it delivered to my home in Mexico. I did not realize that this was going to be imported into the country, or that I had to do the importing myself, as it said that the product could be delivered to my address. Usually when the item needs to be imported, purchase (and therefore delivery) option is marked as not available in the region. Turns out my package was held in customs and the only way they could release it was by keeping the inks and sending the printer to my address without the ink bottles. Product return was not an option for me as it was not guaranteed that I was going to get my money back so I didn’t want to risk it and agreed that they keep the ink bottles and send the printer to me without them.
When I got the printer, it was perfectly packaged, only difference was the lack of ink bottles ( sorry I keep repeating that). I got to looking for the ink bottles online so that I could order them as replacement and it turns out, these are not sold in Mexico! Not available on Amazon as a pack, only found some colors sold individually in Spain and the UK and was going to have to import them, that would end up being super costly. So I got to frantically looking for a solution and found Printer Knowledge in hopes of getting help from printer enthusiasts! This is my first printer and wouldn’t want to damage it by using the wrong inks so I wanted to ask for your help in finding a suitable ink that could be more easily found world-wide. The ink that the ET-18100 uses is marked as “107”. It comes in 6 different colors - C,M,Y,K,LC & LM - and I will be using it for printing on paper, I’m an illustrator and want to sell prints in my online shop.
