Despite the good smooth surface that can cope the ink load the poster board was a few mm too thick to be accepted by my Epson SC-P900 and unfortunately causing head strikes (despite setting it to maximum platen gap):

Otherwise I could produce nice canvas photo boards that could be directly displayed.

Plan B: use the poster board as a frame and wrap the print over the poster board ;)

I've found a pack with 7 A4 canvas paper from Action.
Took ink very well, but too small to wrap around a frame.

I am now exploring affordable paper on larger sizes.

Ordered this one:
https://www.amazon.com.be/-/nl/KOALA-vellen-glanzend-A3-fotopapier-inkjetprinter/dp/B07HKGD5PY?th=1

But found afterwards via this site:
https://www.welt.de/vergleich/fotopapier/
from the same brand for about the same price/page a 250g paper that claims to be RC:
https://www.amazon.com.be/-/nl/Koala-vellen-glanzend-fotopapier-inkjetprinter/dp/B08S69RCRQ?th=1

If the first one is cast paper I will sent it back.

According to the description it should be RC paper the second version, so like Sihl/Netbit paper. The price seems to be very economical to me and free shipping. The first version gives me a feeling it is cast paper, but report back because I would be interested to buy it too.

Most probably, I ordered the 50 pack RC and cancelled the first order.

Since ink (even 3th party or expired OEM) costs more, I am not inclined to use cast paper in the future.

Although I made some very fair 35.5x58.4 cm posters on the A2 Canson 180g (pencil writable on the back) I found in my stock.

PS: this is just 6,5cm less wide than A2, why Canon could not make my printer a bit larger ? :(

The Koala 250g glossy arrived, the package is only paper and was slightly cracked.
It is quoted 4 stars.

I opened it and happily enough only the first paper was slightly affected - no problem for profiling.

It is RC, but - as with almost all such papers - you can see the paper structure in reflection, and more than with better papers (even ALDI and Expertiz).
It is very white, but less again than 5 or more stars paper.

Gamut comparable with my other low cost RC papers (volume 1.332.614, deepest black L*=3).

I made a print and the final result (with CO) compares more to satin than glossy (as observed in the reviews).

To be continued.
