May also be worth pressing the button even if it is not "lit up". https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_i1JkQJRhBM shows someone accessing the menu though I think here he is pressing the "Curly back" button - see video to see what I mean. There seems to be no need to dismiss anything as the screen display appears to be irrelevant I think

What you suggested from the article worked.

However, I think I may have uncovered the problem. I notice blue ink seems to be everywhere so I think I just have a dud ink tank.

So I have removed the dud, filled the empty one, flushed the printhead transport and will let it dry overnight and retry in the AM. I noticed that the dud seems to be easily leaking ink.

You're most welcome - and the credit for the "fix" goes the fellow called Foxx - I just copied and pasted his ideas!

Either way, I am pleased that has got things moving for you. I'm pleased you flushed the transport out as I think that will save you some time. With a bit of luck you might be good to go in the morning :)

Glad you are back up and running - annoying about the new cartridges but could have been worse I guess :)
