Hi everyone , big HELP , How can i reset back to normal on this printer , i thought i might have an ink problem , topped all tanks up but to no avail , any sugestions ----warwick

First make sure all the plugs are in. Unplug and replug the power and usb.

Also before you start printing check carefully for torn pieces of paper or stray pieces of plastic in the printer.

Here's what the Service Manual shows for Error Code 5100:
Carriage error [5100] An error occurred in the carriage encoder signal.
Solution:
(Replacement of listed
parts, which are likely to be
faulty)
- Carriage unit
- Timing slit film
- Logic board
- Carriage motor

You might look to see if something is causing the carriage to stick.
