However...
....my printers now resting on the landfills contradicts that.
MIS-inks or OEM - that’s not the problem.

This time I'll take measures!
I'm no longer listening to You fellows.

I'll do it my way - the new way.

What's wrong with pure water in the lines? (as described above.)

God seems to treat us different - some have blessed printers - some not!
Now I'll baptise my new one every time i leave it!

Your printers are resting in landfill for but ONE reason brother - YOU

Really HATE to see a 3880 go the same way...and it will
there are inks, and inks and the 3880 thrives on Cone inks - Just remember we offered our best when you are tossing it out

Certainly - thanks for Your advices, fellows.
However - this time I'll listen to my own.

None has voted against my proposal, just suggested other ways, so it cannot be that bad!

Again - Thanks!

It seems as if You yourself need them just now - reading this for you scary thread.

Was it the word "landfill" together with the EP-word that made you feel sick?

Anyhow: the reason why you do not use plain water in the printer is that normal tap water contains dissolved minerals that can precipitate in your expensive print head and secondly due to the high surface tension of water some microscopic cavities cannot be reached by plain water and thirdly plain water is an excellent medium for growing microorganism.
