Hi @TecnoSak if you were running a Canon printer I would suggest running it in Service Mode and clearing the BIOS, but as your not I don’t know if you can even do that with an Epson, I still think the problem is software related inside the printer itself, try leaving it un-plugged over night, both power and USB. !

You could try to PM @Mags, maybe he might have a solution to this for you.

@TecnoSak, I looked further into this paper jam issue for you and found a phoro by @Łukasz showing the line feed disk starting position, now it may not have anything to do with your problem but try and clean this disk with window cleaner or isopropyl alcohol, at this stage anything just might work !

Thank, @The Hat, It's one of the first things that I've done.
But the printer still prints regularly if set to non-photo mode and does not otherwise...
I've just made another attemp right now, replacing the PW sensor with the one of another XP-750. I was very confident with that, but... still nothing to do. I have two XP-750 with the same problem. :(

Sorry that I appeared to abandon you with this issue but I've had to focus on work and home life with pending baby #2 on way, and basically I forgot this topic was till active.. :/

Come back to it today though and one thing that has occured to me is that these printers have, I believe, two different paper trays with the plain paper in the base, while the photo paper is in the tray above, correct?

They also have motor driven trays in some case so I'm wondering if that may be the problem in some shape or form. I realise I'm guessing wildly but for three people to report the same issue out of the blue, I'd be tempted to think sensor error, parts failure or something similar.

Hi!
I had left the printer aside for weeks, until this morning... Idea! "And if I look for a firmware and driver update (as I think it's a software issue)?". Well, searched, downloaded, installed and... Magic! No more fake paper jam.
I'll try the same on the second printer too, that is now 50Km from me. I'll let you know

Bye!

There is a PW sensor underneath the printhead carriage. The optical sensor might be block by accumulated ink that prevent it from attempting to detect the edge of the paper to position it for printing. You need to reach to the bottom of the printhead carriage to find out where is the pw sensor optical sensor to wipe away the ink.

For example, on some model the pw sensor optical sensor look like this. Different model may look differently. You might want to look for the service manual for your model to find out.

It only happens when you go up to the higher resolution "Photo" setting and above. On the "Text" and "Text & Image" settings it works fine. On the "Photo" setting, the paper seems to feed in to the printer going forwards, but then reverses backwards and folds over on itself causing the jam.
