Epson SC-P800 no chip firmware upgrade

There seems to be a possibility to flash a special firmware to this printer to make it "chipless", enabling to refill the original cartridges at the cost of the ink level allways staying at full/100%.

The cost is $60, so about the price of one set of refillable T850x cartridges. Anyone with (positive) experience with flashing his/her P800 printer with this special firmware ?

This would be fantastic if it does work.

Thre are a few earlier listings for 'chipless' on the forum you can search for. I tried it on a P400, but it did not work out.
