I'm installing a CIS on the Epson RX700 and am getting two bad issues.

First - the printer claims the yellow (and sometimes all) cartridges is defective / missing. I found that there is a continuous stream of ink (black / green) that has coated the chip contacts on the cartridge. I cleaned that off multiple times. The printer may recover and print a few pages before reverting.

Second - besides the above leak the printer has dumped several ml of ink onto the printer table. Most of this is on the right side. A couple ml have leaked on the left side.

This is a brand new CIS. I tried another CIS that had been sitting for a year with similar results but the printer never printed. I ordered a new CIS that took a week to arrive.
I initially removed the plugs for the tanks and recycled the printer power about three times. The initial priming action caused the tanks to overflow. After cleaning the mess up I re-plugged the thanks and got some initial success printing. At that point the printer started fussing about the yellow cartridge and the leaks began in earnest.

Thanks all.

This printer pumps up air bladders to pressurize the ink. I believe an ink cartridge broke and got ink into the pressurization system and it was injected into the other cartridges. From there it spilled out. I've taken the CISS off and will try some aftermarket refillable cartridges.
