Hi,
I have an Epson R2400 using Ultrachrome K3 pigment inks, that I stopped using long ago, because I got fed up of nozzle checks, cleanings, and wasting so much money on ink, otherwise the printer was working fine.
Recently I decided to give it another chance, but I’m sure all nozzles will be blocked now.
I could try doing the cleaning myself, because the repair stores ask more than the cost of a new printer, so it’s not worth it.
I know your expertise is great, could you recommend the best head cleaning solution for pigment inks that are used by professional printer repair shops?
Was anyone successful in cleaning the nozzles by himself?
I’ve seen so many ideas on the web, every single person recommends some kind of chemical, but I don’t know why I don’t trust home made solution from home cleaning products
Thanks a lot
Titus

you may try these methods as shown here

Using the syringe is quite effective to my experience.
you may try a household window cleaner before you start using specific inkjet related cleaners.
There is a recipe for a home made mix here which seems to work well based on the experience of forum members

There are quite some more postings with this same subject - about this recipe and alternate
ammonia containing household cleaners which may be available in your country
