Epson R2000 damage film Folex

Hello

I bought film "Folex" for experimentation, I was told that this is the most high-quality film of all. But my printer Epson R2000 damage this film

Please help advice, what I'm doing wrong? From these bands? Other films such as "Lomond" work perfectly on this printer.

Could it be that these scratches are caused by the printhead movement because the material is too thick ?
Is your other film thinner than this one ? What do you want to acheive with printing on film ? Why is this film called 'high quality' ?

adjust the platen gap for thick paper to see if it help reduce the scuff marks. Check the bottom of this redrivercatalog webpage where it mention for R2000.

No, material is not thick, but they are very sensetive.

Other films of the same thickness.

I want to reach a high quality printed image detail. I have not delved into the mechanism, I just said that Folex could be better.

In the picture you can see the result on the other film is not too impressive. Everything is spread out. I need 99% matching after my print and standart.

Thank you. I try reduce scraping, but i not see any result. The bands still remain. I guess that the film surface is extremely sensitive to any pressure. Strange ... I'll look through the usb microscope, this mode can be a little better quality. Anyway, thank you very much!

@Pakalakhe, when attempting to use an inkjet to print on clear acetate, it has to be specially treaded to accept the ink and is only printable on one side, 3M are the specialists.

It’s not possible to get a prefect reproduction on that surface, but if you print two sheets and then lay them over each other, then the image can be quite acceptable.

But really you should be doing this type of work on a laser printer, they are far better at reproducing on film...
