Epson printer problems after upgrading from Windows 8.1 to windows 10

Hello-I live in the UK. I upgraded to Windows 10 several weeks ago from Windows 8.1, and since then I have been experiencing non stop printer problems. I owned an Epson XP-3155 error messages were "Failed to set data for SCC Service utility which came up on the screen every time I opened up in the morning.When I use the Epson printer correction facility , it gets as far as 5% and no further. Whenever I try to print, the message "Printer is in an error state showing on the laptop screen, I have tried to download an up to date driver but at the end of installation it states unsuccessful. I returned to Currys today who offered to exchange the unit which I accepted. I hoped that with a new printer, errors would have disappeared , but they are reproduced on new machine. The new printer is an inkjet model No XP 4205. C.an anyone offer me the solution to these problems. Thank you .

Did you re-install the driver in Win 10 - with prior cancellation in W 8.1 ? . If not remove the printer in W 10 and re-install the driver. You may have to de-activate driver signature at start-up before you install the driver
