Epson L1300? L1800? Or something else?

Hello everybody!
Lately i 've been flirting with the idea to print our advertising leaflets in house, rather than giving them out. I've compared costs and realised that with an Epson L series i'll save some money, but mostly:
-i can do changes on the leaflets any time i want, without having to print large volume of copies
-i can print the copies i want for each targeted advertisment, rather than one generic for all products
-i will have full control of the result

The only question is if the print quality is presentable for advertising leaflets. Does anyone have any experience with these printers? Would you recommend them for this use or there is another model or brand that could do the same work better?

I'm going for the cheapest solution per page but with a good printing quality. I have to find the model that has the perfect balance between cost and quality.

the l1800 is basically identical with the 1400 / 1430 / 1500W series or the "a4" Letter size modell L800 (with oem ciss) > T50 , p50, Artisan 50
its a good solid 6 color dye printer

the l1300 is basically the same thing but only utilized 4 ink colors CYMK but there are DYE TOO and not waterresistant

both printers could use cheaper aftermarket ink or you could use pigmented inks

With custom ICC profiles you can get also predictable color and softproofing capabilities so you don't waste ink. You can see softproof on you screen before printing (you also need monitor profiling).

L1800 would be OK, I would suggest to use third party Inktec or OCP ink, put the saved money from getting cheaper inks towards ICC profiles. You will have good quality prints and be in control.

Make sure you research about papers, because traditional glossy paper used for laser printers will not work with an Inkjet printer. You will be able to use matt paper only, or if you want gloss/semi gloss use photo paper. But would be expensive.

Could i use pigment inks in this printer, with no problem?

Is 1500w a good alternative?

I sold many 1400/1430/1500W to clients with both with refillable cartriges and aftermarket ink, additinally I use to create one paperprofile included and they pay for each paper additionally

Which refillable cartridge and ink would you recommend for the 1500w?

If you’re going to attempt to do your own advertising leaflets then the paper is far more important than which ink you use whether it’s dye or pigment.

You’ll need good quality Matte / Satin 100 gm or 120gm digital copy paper, most copy shops will stock it and Oki, Canon and Xerox are the most popular ones to use.

Nice carts, I had bad experience with some carts having a spring that is not stainless steel so it rusted and luckily did not damage to the printer. But seriously I now check every refill cart with a spring using magnet, this way if I find non stainless spring I will replace the cart or replace the spring.

I had some bad experience with older chip version not recognizing the cartriges when they are all in
you you just leave one carts outside its okay.. dunno why this happens in particual, firmware is stock and NOT updated on the P50 or 1500W
