I have a 50/50 mixture of Simple Green and water in my Epson 9900 at the present time. After a few weeks of doing nozzle checks and cleaning cycles all the little flakes of ink that were causing the head to clog are now thoroughly dissolved.

Rite Aid Pharmacy sells a 100% Ammonia liquid in something like a quart (maybe 16 oz) bottle. It costs around $5 a bottle. They might have smaller packages.

Hi, were you successful with your cleaning, and your home made solution? I have an R2400 with K3 inks too, and decided to give it a chance by cleaning it myself.
If yes, could you detail... your successful formula and procedure?
