A dielectric grease or Deoxit could help. They sell dielectric grease as “bulb grease” in auto parts stores. I would wipe it almost completely off before installing it but leave a barely noticible thin layer. I’ve seen this stuff work wonders for spring-loaded contacts, D-subs, and other connections.
