One of the first things I do on my Creality printers is to replace the OEM fan duct with a "fang" dual-chamber duct. Not only should this help with cooling the part more evenly / better, I mostly like that it gives me better visibility to the hotend.

I purchased / printed this duct: https://cults3d.com/en/3d-model/tool/ender3-v2-dual-40mm-fan-hot-end-duct-fang
Printed it in glow in the dark pla: https://amzn.to/3g0VpuU
These fans (not as quiet as I wanted, but since they are bigger, I can reduce the voltage to make them quiet with the same flow as OEM): https://amzn.to/3G7QJxR
... and these awesome LED strips: https://amzn.to/3IMgq9c

Then I used OnShape to design an LED mount / arm:

... and it all comes together as seen in the images below. I split off the power from the heater-block cooling fan.

I especially like how easy it is to see the nozzle and how bright the light-bar makes it, without being in the way!:

Wow that’s an upgrade, that fang is some mother.. :ep

Why would you want the fang to be glow in the dark when you have good LED lighting over the whole area.. I just use overhead LED lighting 50 cm above my printers..
These fans (not as quiet as I wanted, but since they are bigger,
Those fans look a bit over kill and very expensive for what they do..
This fan is quieter and has more output and is quite a lot smaller and comes in 12/24 volt and two sizes..

The fang I use has good clear visibility in and around the hot nozzle area..

I wanted a light-color print and thought having glow in the dark would just be fun :)

I do see a lot of overhead LED light setups, but I don't care for them. I don't need the whole printer / surface lit, just the nozzle.
Those fans look a bit over kill and very expensive for what they do..
I wanted bigger than needed so I could turn them up and down as needed. Gives me more options to play with.

Cool, I'll look into them. Do you have links?

That's a good one for sure. Remind me what the link is to it?

Good job! Well done!
Just want to ask for some advice from you guys. I am a beginner in 3d printing. Have a basic 3D printer that I found here.
I want to print a block the external darkening shutter (not the windows, the external) like in the picture. The original it's iron, but I want to create the same, with a better shape and pretty solid (100% infill of course), in very basic PLA.

I'll appreciate any advice.
Thanks
