Hi
I'm new here so sorry if this may have been already asked.
I have a Epson DX 8400 and have the City Ink Express continuious system, but I have tried everything to get it to accept the cartridges, but it still tells me that they do not exsist!
Also any ideas on how to stop the grey connection wire from getting caught in the lid of the printer. When I first attach them the cartridges go across the printer and the wire gets caught up.

This was bought for me a few months ago and just added as the originals have only just run out (i I make cards so need to have more ink then in the originals)

many thanks if anyone can suggest anything:)

Epson, Canon, HP... A "few"
I hate to say it but it sounds like you've got a system that either:
- has incompatible chips intended for a different printer model
- your printer was produced after a firmware update was incorporated into the production run, also making the chips incompatible.

Either way it could be difficult resolving the problem...

Have you tried getting hold of City Ink Express?

Same thing with my CX7400 and Ebay CIS. I had to press a small button on the carts several times in each position to get it to recognize the chips. Only took a minute and since then all inks show full and it's working faultlessly.
