Has anyone had any experience with DURAFIRM brand ink?
I was just about to reorder some ink but I saw that they switched to this new brand for Canon.

Probably the same as they were supplying before but maybe not?
Is it just a re-labeling of an old brand?

I see that alot of stores carry it but no mention of them on this forum for some reason.

Anybody have any experience with this brand?

Thanks!!

;)

Can't remember it was so long ago.

But I just received a support email saying that it can be used in all cartridges.
I'm not sure you can have an ink for both pigment and dye black but they sell just one black with no mention of it.

I have just written to the owner of Atlantic Inkjet, who up until now has been selling ink from Image Specialists..an excellent ink.
I am finding it difficult to find info about this DURAFIRM ink, but research tells me that more and more ink and cartridge suppliers are switching to Durafirm. Although a "universal" ink, they claim that this is more archival than standard dye inks, and have excellent colour .

Anyone have any experience with these inks..and anyone know who makes them?

I didn't know I was using IS ink up to now but I'm glad I did.
Too bad I am running out now. :)

Manuchau,

did you notice it is only guaranteed archival when used on there own proprietary paper, which gives me a suspicious feeling it is actually the paper protecting against gas fading....?

What about the archival properties of any other ink on this special paper or when this ink is compared side by side on the same difficult microporous paper with other refill inks like Hobbicolors UW8 and Image Specialists inks ?

Pharmacist, I am sure you are 100% correct. Still, it would be helpful to many here if someone who has some knowledge and experience with this ink would post their experience here....

Sad to see Atlantic die out...they were a decent supplier for a few years..

Manuchau,

May I ask where you are getting your ink now that Atlantic Inkjet has gone universal?
I live in BC as well so it would be nice to know! :D
Thanks!
