I've never had a problem with MIS, but I've never bought ink from them, only cartridges and other supplies, because their prices are too high.

Companies change though, whether due to change in management or simply not caring anymore. Hopefully this is just a case of miscommunication.

A quick check at the MIS website indicates that 4 - 4oz bottles of ink for my IP3000 would cost $24.00.

A quick check at Precision Colors ebay store indicates that 4 - 4oz bottles of ink for my IP3000 would cost $23.45.

That 55 cents is hardly a significant difference.........customer service is far more important than any perceived difference in product cost.

However, does anyone know for sure that MIS is still providing Image Specialists ink..? ?

I remember about 5 years ago looking at them for ink and it was just too expensive compared to several other vendors. I liked their blank carts better than some others I had tried, and I thought their bottom fill method was also better (and less messy) than the air pressure method from the fill port. I could have sworn I looked there earlier this year and they were still high. They seem to have come down enough to be competitive with other vendors now.

When I buy ink I judge it on its quality first and foremost, then politeness and service are next,
the price is seldom a factor in my choice unless its outrageous.

Third party inks are so much cheaper than the OEM stuff and I dont see any reason to split the Atom again over a couple of cent,
besides I just couldnt afford to own, run or print as much as I do if I only purchased OEM ink its a no brainer for me.. :woot

For me there's a point where I put up with somewhat bad service if there's a major price difference. I didn't want to throw out numbers in my last post but I could swear MIS was selling 2oz bottles for the same price as everyone elses' 4oz bottles at the time ($18-20). $15 seems to be the going rate for 4 oz of pigment now for most vendors, though some have undersized bottles (2.8 oz, 3.4 oz, listing in ml that is less than 4 oz when converted, etc).

Hello all,
Sorry for the late reply.
I received the package not long after I post this thread, the kit I ordered was a REF-T73N-4-KIT cost = 55.95 + USPS-First shipping = 11.60USD + 28USD (unknown fee, apparently when the total of 67.55USD wired to inksupply, they only received 42.55USD, that means 67.55 - 42.55 = 25USD which I believe was the transfer fee charged by Chase Bank, so I was asked to pay 28USD this time via paypal)
I did ask them about the 28USD, but not much was explained and I wasn't really want to argue about it, just want to get the ink asap.
Now that I have received the package, I realized the label detail description of contents =
"MIS Nozzle Cleaning Fluid", did they send the wrong stuff?, should I open it?

The Item I ordered is : http://www.inksupply.com/product-details.cfm?pn=REF-T73N-4-KIT
