Does Canon PG-BK ink expire past the listed dates?

The Canon 71 black is Matte black and the Canon 790 is Photo black, so don’t go mixing them up..

Sorry for bumping the old thread, but is 790 basically dye ink black(like cli carts) and 71 pigment black(like the pgi carts)?

Checking the Amazon India website it seems that both inks are pigment inks intended for use in different models of G series printers. See this and this.
