do inks and dyes contain glycerin and glycol?

i read that printer inks and dyes contain glycerin and glycol. do they all use glycerin and glycol or just some?
do you know what companies use glycerin and glycol in their inks and dyes?
do commercial printers like hp and samsung also use glycerin and glycol?

Why is glycerin and glycol used? For ease of ink flow?

I know it is also used to dissolve the clear ink from printheads.

I'm wondering why glycoles suddenly get that much attention, they have been part of the ink carrier base from the beginning, you can look up the ink ingredients in the safety data sheets

You may not find the colorant listed which is typically a proprietary substance for which some exeption rules can apply.
And if you look up the SDS in other business regions - USA or Australia or.... you may see them or not. .

Canon provides the same type of information about their inks so you can compare Epson and Canon inks.

It is a highly dynamic process when the ink leaves the nozzles - how droplets form and directly hit the paper after a travel of just about .5 mm platen gap, and it's the combination of the viscosity and the surface tension controlling this process.
