I have decided to purchase non eom cartridge and ink. I have a HP D7260 that uses the 02 cartridge. I use my printer for normal every day printing and couponing. This is one of those wonderful printers that will not even print black if you are low or out of color. I have filled eom cartridges in the past for another machine and did ok with it.
I don't need high end quality but I don't want to ruin my print head. I have looked at Ink supply and their kit is $85. As I understand it their ink is made by Image specialist, which is one of the brands that is talked about. That is a little more than I would like to pay. I know not to purchase low end cheap ink. I am looking for something in the middle. Going into the sites of the other ink brands is like trying to read latin.:he So I went to ebay not much better. I did find a seller who says that his ink is made by Image Specialist but he does not sell the non eom cartridges. There is another seller that does sell the cartridges. I am thinking about purchasing from them. What are the pit falls that I should be looking for when I purchase ink and cartridges? Or does anyone know of a site that I don't have to know latin to get around on their site. Most of the high end ink sites seem like they are geared to professionals.
Thanks for any help you can give me.:)

Thanks for the posting did you have any trouble with the date codes being old and the machine not printing with the remanufactured carts? Did you refil carts for this machine? If so how did it work? What ink did you use and where did you purchase it from?

I had no trouble at all. These were remanufactured carts that apparently had new chips installed. I have no idea what type of ink they used. they installed and
worked as good as the OEM carts. Color was almost dead on compared to the OEMS

I am also wondering if you refilled cart for this printer like the refilling cartridges?

To my knowledge no one makes a chip resetter for these carts. That might pose a problem for you if you refilled your own. The refilled carts I purchased from Abacus came with new chips installed, so obviously
they must be available from somewhere. although I've never seen them myself.
