Colour fading in food dyes worse than in printer dyes

I am old and a bit faded but never too old to drink, thankfully..

If the cake has faded that much, then it's probably good for no one but the chickens.
This is why you make sure that the ink you use is good quality, because I have had images start looking like this within a week.
