Epson Stylus Pro 4000/7600/9600/10600 Plotter (1L) Magenta

this is for the "OLD" DX2 and DX4 Printheads
Bascially the 7600/9600 have the DX4 printhead (same as the desktop version Epson 2100) with 7 Ink Channels

Then there is the DX2 which is really old and was first sold back in 1997 with varios 4 color desktop printers the DX2 printhead is scalable and the 10600 uses THREE DX2 units
it has 6 Channels so basically each DX2 head is firing two colors

then tehre is the Pro 4000 which introduced the NEXT gen DX5 printheads (with the old teflon coating underneath the printhead) with 8 Channels in ONE unit and 180 Nozzel per Channel
1 Single Pass of this beast is 1" exactly and the Pro 4000 was and is still working at many professional printing hours over hours
again the Pro4000 is 8 channel printer, there is no need to switch channels between matte and photo black since both cartriges where equiped all the time.
also it had only ONE light Black this is the "first" iteration of Ultrachrome inks (K2) and these cheaper Inktec inks you are keep mentioning are compatible with K2 ultrachrom BUT NOT with the
Ultrachrome K3 Vivid inkset

Correct, it is not Powerchrome K3!
But rather, it is Ultrachrome K3 ( the old formulation ) problably good enough for Matte media but just like current OCP K3!

Hi Joe, I currently use OCP K3, but I was looking into improving the lack of glossiness of the Magentas. I guess my other option (for now) is to use the Cone magentas and see how it goes since it's too expensive to buy any of the OEM magentas on eBay these days. Thanks everyone for your time.
