the top of the ink cartridge underneath the paper sticker there are air channels. follow the air channels to a place where there is one big circle. at the very center there is what looks like a dimple. a very small needle with a syringe will fit into this opening. fill your syringe with windex with ammonia and water and force it through the nozzles through this opening. pigmented ink and dye based ink will come out of the nozzles. you'll need to do this many times. when you think you have all the ink out, flush with clean water. now, mix water and clorox 50/50 and run this through the head. leave the mix in the head overnight. next day flush the head with just plain cold water. run plain water through the head, then force just air through the head. should be clean now.
next put some water into a regular coffee cup, place the cup in a shallow saucepan with about an inch of water in it and set on the stove. bring the water to a boil set the cup in the saucepan with the cartridge in the cup and let it boil away for 20 minutes. any residue will come out.
