During the many years I worked in my darkroom I used a little Glycerin in the final wash to make the print emulsion more pliable and prevent curling of the print in my print dryer. As to other uses for glycerin, I did the usual thing and googled it. Here is what I found:emerald said:Hey gang, thanks for answering my question. Maybe pharmacist could confirm another use for glycerin so that it won"t go to waste for stratman.
"Glycerol is widely used as a solvent; as a sweetener; in the manufacture of dynamite, cosmetics, liquid soaps, candy, liqueurs, inks, and lubricants; to keep fabrics pliable; as a component of antifreeze mixtures; as a source of nutrients for fermentation cultures in the production of antibiotics ; and in medicine. It has many other uses as well. "
So, Stratman, what will it be? Dynamite, liqeurs, lubricants, or antibiotics?
