On my HP Officejet Pro 8600 I have started getting a 'Magenta tank empty' message. Then when I dig deeper it says 933XL cartridge installed. This printer uses 951 cartridges.
I put an old OEM cartridge in and the warning goes out. I disconnected the power for 8 minutes and still no joy. I cleaned the copper contacts on the cartridge and the part that it contacts with alcohol.
Is there a way to print with this message showing?
