Chromalife100 vs Chromalife100+ fading test, Update 18. June 2021

Hello,
four weeks ago I started a home made fading test with Canon inks. My samples are inside a east facing window with a gap of about 15 mm. The measured temperatures are from 19°C to about 50°C. Humidity is between 18% and 45%. The light intensity is measured with a data logger to calculate Megalux Hours. Mark McCormick-Goodhart from https://www.aardenburg-imaging.com gave me the tipp with the data logger.

Thanks for the update; the table entries - the ink / paper combinations - are sorted by an averaged deltaE after an exposure of 5,4 MegaLuxHours in the right column , tremendous variations are visible from top to bottom, you can watch those inks at the bottom of the list fading from day to day.
The top entries with the Epson or Chromalife inks are pretty close together, there are barely any differences at this time between the Chromalife 100 and 100+ entries which can raise the question whether these are different inks altogether, and this could indicate that these inks can be used interchangeably. Chromalife 100 inks are available as bottled and affordable GI-53 inks for the G550/650.
And it is important to note that the best results are acheived with the listed OEM papers , a 'Foto Glanzpapier' or 'SW Mühle Edelweiß' let the entries drop into the middle of the list.
Octopus-office offers inks from several suppliers for the most popular printers - Octopus Fluids - InkTec and OCP - but the supplier does not provide any information how those inks differ - e.g. size of the gamut, black level or longevity.
There is the top entry for Lucia Pro pigment inks, @maximilian59 is apparently trying to excel over the 400 year longevity claim for an Epson ink - quoted elsewhere - how about 500 years ?
Pigment inks overall come with a better permanence rating , but significant differences remain as the Wilhelm WIR tests show

There are lots of different ways how to run the test and process the numbers, e.g. giving the worst 10% more weight by adding them separately into a 2nd level average, it just needs to be consistent from test to test.

It is no typo. It’s a measurement failure. I forgot to cross it.
if you take away the two non Canon papers, ChromaLife100+ starts to be better than the others.
Last year I compared Epson inks the same way but without a logger. It showed, that Epson Claria HD is not significant better than Epson Claria Premium. So are these also the same inks? At least for the four standard colors.

the GI-53 (Chromalife 100) bottled inks turn out to be the best possible refill inks for most other Canon printers with dye inks, I remember that a clear ink recipe for Canon printers was posted here a while ago, so these inks would be suitable as well for the Pro-200 incl. light inks; I'm not familiar with the refill options for the Pro-200 beyond disabling ink level monitoring. It would not make sense for me to buy other 3rd party inks - even at 50% of the GI-53 prices - and just to get a longevity of 20% or 10% or even lower.

I can complement my comments above about the GI-53 inks, I'm currently running a test since 2 weeks and get these deltaE numbers for the GI-53/Chromalife 100x inks - 5.75 / 5,65 - that's the same within measuring tolerances at this time - both inks perform quite identical - numbers may diverge slightly over a longer exposure time. The report above by @maximilian59 shows as well that the Chromalife 100 and 100+ inks perform very similar - on the same paper.
This should give Pro100/200 users a good and affordable alternative to the OEM cartridges. The GI-53 and Pro-200 inksets are not identical - I remember that somebody posted a clear ink formula here some time ago which could be used to dilute the C and M inks into light links and an additional gray. It should be feasable but I'm not a Pro-200 user and cannot help with further tests in this direction.
All users of other dye ink Canon printers have a very good ink available for refill with these bottled GI-53 inks - genuine Canon inks with a very good performance at an affordable price. There is no reason to buy other 3rd party inks at a lower price but with a much lower longevity of such inks.
