I have made a high resolution scan of an instruction sheet showing the chip transfer and use of the double sided sticky tape. If you want it, you can send me an Email or PM with your Email address. I will then attach the scan to my answer. The scan is saved as a .pdf file 2.76 MB in size
Just sent a private message with my address ;)

BTW the blu tack has been posted today, I should receive it in 1-2 weeks.

Temporarily take some any self adhering tape or label. Rub the adhesive into a small bead or ball, transfer that ball over to the cartridge and press the chip on. That should adhere until the real stuff arrives. On this side of the pond, you can use something called GOOP which is an adhesive for plastics. It is does not break down the plastic but does adhere quite well. Also some contact cement will also hold on for a while as well.

I have just sent the "chip transfer using tape" file plus a scanned image showing the attachment of a chip using a Danish equivalent of Blu-tack. Too much detail was lost when I tried to save the scan of the instruction as an 80 kB jpg picture for upload to the forum.

Good luck with restoring your cartridge to working order.

Peter.

Just saw. What to say, it's difficult to believe that a little piece of double-sided tape performs well also because the surfaces are not flat but maybe is just an idea.

Peter you could upload it on a file hosting so everybody can see the pdf.

I don't subscribe to any file sharing sites, but I made a lower resolution scan of the instruction and cropped it to include only the essential. I think this cropped scan is acceptable, click to enlarge:

I hope this image is an acceptable compromise?

PS: I really like the text for item 3: "Stick hard the original chip onto the relative compatible ink cartridge". A third party ink cartridge company admitting that their cartridges are only relatively compatible?

Good news.

The blue tack it's arrived, what to say, at first impression it looks very suitable for our purpose.

I tried to attach just one chip to a cartridge to try it and I found it good.

Now I have to wait for the empty cartridges that are on the road and then I'll start to attach the chips of all the cartridges.

I'll keep you updated.

This is the blue tack that I bought.

I made also a test with the multimeter and it was good, the multimeter was not in grade to determine the resistance, this means that is quite high (high resistance means safe to use).

I'll post other pictures (also how it looks when attached) when the cartridges will be arrived.

I am at a total loss as to why you posted this first thread 1#
regarding the reasons why you needed help fixing a chip to a cartridge with its mounting broken.
