Canon Pro9500 or Epson R2880?

Hello,

I am trying to get the best inkjet printer. This is for a special project requiring an output with a lot of fine fine details. Which printer do you recommend? I am considering the Canon Pro9500 or the Epson R2880. Thanks.

You should look for a printer with higest resolution. Canon Pro9500 or Pro9000 are better than Epson R2800 in terms of print head resolution but Canon has other cheaper printers that doubles the resolution of Pro9000 and Pro9500. IP4500 is an example. It will print finer details od small objects better than Pro9000/9500.

I was told that this is not true resolution. I do not know what to believe. The specs of the Pixma 4500 states a resolution of Color: 9600 x 2400 dpi. Is that for real?

Take a look on the Epson R1800 (you can get them on eBay cheap) I got one 2 weeks ago for $245 including shipping and I was impressed with the quality. Good Luck
