After just over one year of use, the top feed in my Canon Pro 200 regularly gives me a support message 1000: No paper in the feed. I did some research, and it was recommended that I clean the rollers. I followed the manufacturer's instructions. After wiping the rollers with a damp cloth, it worked, but only for a dozen sheets or so, and then it stopped auto-feeding again.
I've recently started printing on both sides of 8.5 x 11 sheets of Red River's 32-lb Premium Matte paper, though I've also used the heavier 50-lb and experienced the same issue. It doesn't seem to matter how many sheets are in the top feeder, only a few or dozens. Sometimes guiding the page in with my hands works, but other times that doesn't even work and it simply won't take the page and I need to clean the rollers again or use the rear feed. The rear feed is much less than ideal as I'm printing many pages of books.
Previously, I was using HP business paper. I use only Canon inks and have had the printer for over a year. I use it regularly to make full-color prints and books.
If anyone has any advice, it would be very welcome!
Thank you.
