Canon pro 10s error 5110

hi all , and happy new year
when switched on, the printhead goes up and down several times but , apparently , does not find its place and remains free from any movement from right to left on its axis , The orange light flashes 11 times and gives me error 5110 . Can I do something ? Thank you .

What I feared may have happened . Error 5110 also indicates a problem with the operation of th print head support , I checked and there is no paper jam or anything else . My printer is only 3 years old , should I just throw it in the trash ??? is there a solution ? Thanks

If its not a faulty sensor, you could try canon service tool program if you can find it on this forum or online.

Isn't the printer detected by service too regardless of error? Epsons do not care, but for a canon can be tricky. Usually service mode on printer entered by combination of keys pressed on power on is not the same as connecting to printer with service tool. Depends on printer model, and i have no experience in this model.
