I got hold of the new CLI-42 cartridges today and here are pictures of it.
Its a standard CLI-8 cartridge in every detail with just a new chip on it.
The colour also looks very strange in deed the sponge is a tan colour and the reservoir ink would pass for chocolate.
I did do a finger test on it and compared to the normal Cli-8 yellow beside it and the two colours were the same shade.
This cartridge was full and I mean full, I have never seen a Canon cartridge that full before, as this is a replacement cartridge theres no telling how much ink will be in the cartridges in the printer box.
So if youre planning on getting one of these new printers than hang onto your old CLI-8 cartridges, they could come in very handy at a later date.
I test fitted this cartridge in the i9950 (BCI-6) and iP4500 (CLI-8) and it fitted like a glove..
