I have been busy with other things last couple of days, but for the record, setting the printer to do not disable did not seem to fix my wireless Start-up problems. Still have to lean over and flick the ON/OFF switch if I have not printed for some time.

The investigation continues.

Roy set the power settings to Auto Power On: Enable

And the Auto Power Off: To whatever Time suits you.

The Pro Series pigment printers don’t allow for this Auto Power on, only off !

Just checked the settings an it seems more likely that it was the driver wizard walking me through the wireless connection process and warning me of the auto-power function as I can still set auto-power off to switch off at a set time.

I've updated my earlier posts to reflect that.

Thanks for the diagram.

Have tried those settings now. Also just realised I had to make sure the printer was responding before sending the enable instructions. Not sure I did that first time round. Will now wait and see if it responds in a couple of hours.
