Ah my bad sorry, I should have explained....you have to remove the actual print head assembly cradle which is released by lifting a lever on the right hand side of the ink tanks after removing the ink tanks, this is the usual thing in many Canon printers.

To get 'no print head installed' is lack of communication between the print head and the printer processor, the white flat ribbon cable damaged or wrong print head, always go by the part number.

I don't think you would get this message for nozzle damage, I'll stand to be corrected on this.

I think that dye ink is from Moorim Korea which is an unknown and untested brand here but if made for Canon printers then its reasonable to suggest that its ok to use, I would however only use their dye ink in the large black cartridge.
