To those of you that have seen my post and requested information on my Canon Repair Manuals, I have finally listed the manuals for sale on eBay. This is a fixed price listing and will expire in 10 days. For those of you that want to repair your own printers, these manuals and documentation will make it possible.

Canonfodder,... My problem is that I have repaired everything up to the i960, Ip3000, and Ip5000, and I have an iP6600D which I have not had to take apart yet. I know that the only difference in all of these is getting the covers off. Inside they are all virtually the same except for logic boards and connectors and the extra features. To do a manual on each of the others I need to have the printer and so I'm waiting to get one as I usually do. I try and buy ones that have failed and then fix them. Right now I have over 75 printers that need to be fixed so you can see my hands are very busy. The other sad news is that my friends in the town where I live have told other people that I fix printers and now I have several others that are waiting to be fixed. These are the more complex MP730 Multifunction printers. A i560 is a piece of cake compaired to the time it takes just to disassemble a MP730.

The iP5000 is very close to the 4200 and 4300 so I will get to that one soon. I just check the service manual for the iP5000 and it also covers the iP4000. The funny thing is, the same picture they show of the Service test print for the iP5000 is actually the iP3000 sample. I think the only changes are in the printhead, logic board, and the ink carts.

Trigger, which of the manuals that you are selling on ebay is suitable for repairing the Canon Pixma IP3000?
I have a simpified, 43 page manual at present but it is really only useful for resolving error messages. It would not help you to dismantle or repair anything.

rim rim,... The iP3000 inside guts are identical to the i560 printer and in fact uses the exact same printhead. The only real difference is the process to remove the covers. So if you go to ebay and buy one of my manuals and request the i560, and the info to remove the covers for the ip3000, I will modify the data on the CD to match the iP3000 printer. It will take me a couple of days but that is not a problem. Read the information in the listing on eBay and you can see what you will get. I will also include the Service Manual and Parts Catalog for the iP3000. When I do finish the final version of the iP3000 I will automatically update you with the new files. Remember, the listing expires in a few days.

Hope this helps you.

Trigger, that's a very decent offer you have on ebay for your manuals, unfortunately I'm in the UK.
I noticed on your list of information on ebay that you intend to include Epson printers into your projects in the future.
If you do so, have you considered that for most repairs on Epson printers you will need to use an Epson 'Adjustment program' before you put the repaired printer back into service? I'm sure you will have done, if so, I would be interested to know where you will source the adjustment program.
The reason I ask is: I have recently stripped down an Epson Stylus Color 680 printer to repair a persistent paper jamming problem and now find I have to adjust the Bi-D setting using the Epson adjustment program. I have searched the web for the program for the 680 printer but to no avail, so Id be very interested in any info you have on a source for this program.

rim rim,... The only reason I did not include the UK is because of the shipping or mailing cost. They are much higher. If you are interested I can modify the listing and include UK, and Europe. The US Postal service will tell me what the charges are. I had shipped one other product to U.S. Virgin island and that cost about 50% more than the US. The Service manuals talk a lot about the Adjustment Program. I don't have one but I am working on getting it.

Trigger. Thanks for being so accommodating but I'm also looking at a couple of other possible sources for manuals and adjustment programs at present, so I'll probably have missed your listing dead line by the time I make up my mind.
If my other options don't materialise I can always catch you up when you have completed your IP3000 manual.
Best of luck with your future projects.

Trigger. What is your ebay username? I have not been successful in finding your auction(s).
