Hello,
I am trying to fix a Canon Pixma Pro 1 photo printer. It is giving me the B200 error with the blinking alternating lights. Does anyone know how to solve the issue. I would like to remove the print head and try putting it into an ultrasound bath to unclog it but I don't know how to remove it. The printer is completely locked due to the error. I would be very happy and greatful, if someone could post or pm me instructions.

Thank you!

I wonder ! !
The only way to solve your printer problem is to buy a replacement print head, and your second problem is there are no new print heads available anymore, so call it a day and find a nice dumpster to accommodate it.

The head on your printer is unserviceable outside the printer and certainly not by an ultrasound bath, that would kill it and most likely the main board too.

You need to clear the error code before the printer will allow any further action on your part, it can be done without powering the printer on, but it you still want to waste your time… Then there you go

Hello,
thanks a lot for your reply. I really appreciate it! :) I can now freely move the print head. Yet I don't know how to clear the error code. Do you have any solutions I could try to solve the B200 issue without throwing away the whole printer? Is the printhead always clogged for B200 or can I try something else. I could also put a towel soaked in isopropyl underneath it without removing it or put it in an isopropylultrasound bath (this could be dangerous though, since I don't know if it will catch fire). I couldn't remove the printhead without clearing the error code. It's locked.

Regards

The only way to reset that error is to get a new print head, the current print head does not have a clog, the main issue is an electrical problem inside the head, (Over heating) you could try reinstalling the same head, but its practically impossible to fool this printer..

Save yourself time and call it a day.. You will eventually, sorry but you can’t win with this printer, you must give it what it desires or it won’t corporate and just shuts down..

ught the printer for a few bucks. The previous owner said it has a b200 error. I wan't getting the error until I replaced the ink and the first cleaning cicle started. Since then it was locked (again).
