Canon Pixma MP990 - Where is the cover open switch.

I just bought an CISS for the pixma mp990. In order to make it works, the lid must be half-closed. But if the lid does not completely close, the printer does not work (Error message: cover open). I couldn't find the location of the switch to turn it off.

PLEASE HELP.
