Hi guys please take a look at the video and let me know if this would be service mode?
Not sure.

It looks like you are pressing the HOME button along with the Power button and the Stop button. See Control Panel explanation in the Windows version User Manual, page 265, Home button #3.

I thought only Power button #1 and Stop button #7 were to be pressed with the printer turned OFF to enter Service Mode.

Also, if 5x press and release of the Stop button #7 does not work, then maybe 6x will as it did with Annie's printer of a different model. (see PeterBJ's links above to read Annie's experience)

@FAUSTOCG I have no experience with entering service mode on printers with sensor fields, but normally when entering service mode on printers with push buttons releasing the on/off button as the last step in the procedure to enter service mode the power light starts flashing. When the light stops flashing and lights steadily the printer has entered service mode.

At the end of your video clip the power light starts flashing. Does it change to a steady light?

The link is one of those PeterBJ posted. You just need to read further down the page or two to see Anne's posts. However, there is nothing more to glean from her post on this as, I recall, other than it took her 6x push/release and not 5x. Whether this works for your model printer is unknown.

You have not answered my previous question about you seeming to be pressing the HOME button in your video in addition to the POWER and OFF buttons. If so, why? If you are pressing the incorrect buttons then you'll not enter Service Mode.

I dont remember I will try it again and pay attention to what happens after. But I think that after flashing it becomes steady. I noticed that when turning on the printer, the head got parked far to right and never moved, even if I opened the cartridges cover, but if I do the key combo thing, if I open the ink cartridges cover the head I will move to the center so I could remove the cartridges or maybe even the head.

I started doing different combinations but discovered that if I did not press the home button the stop button will not show up. Only when I pressed the home button will get the printer led flashing.

Do you think this could be service mode, will it be safe to try the software reset program? what version should it be to be safe and compatible?

best regards

Maybe this is the general procedure you need to use for your model printer. :idunno

I started doing different combinations
Maybe you bricked your printer with untested button presses and can not enter Service Mode no matter what button presses you try now. I do not know.

Googling "service mode canon mg7720" I found this link to purchase Service Tool v.5103. The seller claims it works with your MG7720 printer model. But, you must be able to enter Service Mode first in order to use the tool. He states that 5x button presses are required. He gives no other instruction on the eBay site except that if you screw up entering or while in Service Mode you may lock up your printer. Might be worth your while to ask him, via eBay, how to enter Service Mode with your printer with the intent of buying his Service Tool once you can do that. If you do buy the tool then use PayPal and a credit card to maximize your protections against fraud.

Here is a small list with error codes I found on firmware.help
But sometimes it’s the used service tool itself. Not all you can find in the internet work correctly. After some misses I bought mine on eBay for 5$ and it works on all printers I could test it.
Canon Service Tool Error Fix Firmware 2021-08-07 08_54_12.png

Not my text. Is from Firmware.help also
Error 002
— does not support this function in this model printer
Solution:

Error 005 — The program does not see the printer
Solution: Maybe you did not connect it via USB

Error 006 — The printer is not in service mode
Decision:
1 Incorrect enter to service mode
All new models enter the service mode — by pressing the Resume button 5 times

2 Service mode dead
Why? : it is possible that someone has already tried to reset the absorber in this printer using an older version of the Service Tool
What to do then? : only reprogram the memory chip

Error 009 — the printer has an error
Solution: Save EEPROM and in EEPROM view the latest error
