No I bought it through lin exports - you can do a search on mg6150 (still a newbie so can't link)

What part of the world are you based, as that would determine where you can get good quality inks.. :)

Octoinkjet also do Image Specialists inks which are one of the best 3rd party inks available.
You should also try to use OEM cartridges as they are far better than anything else around.. :)

Thanks for the advice :). I will use the ones I have til they die on me then try the OEM carts.

I'm printing BxW photos on a 130gsm cream plain paper for small booklets which work really well with pigment ink but so long as the black is a deep black. At first I was dissapointed by the resolution wth this printer (they don't display this resolution openly for the pigment cartridge) but if you keep the size close to A4, and the highlight down I've come to really like it, and of course its a very nice tone without the typical cast from the dye inks and the dullness on plain uncoated paper.

Typical dpi when using the pigment cartridge is usually 600 which is more than enough I think for B&W prints ok.. ;)
