Please can anyone help me to fix the error sign on my printer. I have recently cleared a paper jam but it is not printing and displaying the message 'ERROR rear cover, the paper is jammed, clear the paper and press ok. I have opened the read cover and cannot find any paper. when I press ok it just displays the same errot message. I am desperate as I need to print my airline tickets off by tomorrow night. Please, Please help me if you can. Thank you.

Try to turn off the printer and unplug for a couple of minutes then plug in the power turn it one and see if it makes any difference. If this does not help you may still have small piece of paper in the printer that blocks the paper jam sensor. Use a flash light and check out carefully.

Thank you for your reply Tin Ho. I have tried turning off and unplugging it to no avail, However I will try a flash light as I believe you may be right and perhaps there is a very small piece of paper stuck somewhere.

You havent said how you got the error message in the first place was it caused by a paper jam
that you cleared yourself by pulling the sheet out backwards.

You could try hand feeding a sheet into your printer by lifting it over the paper stop till it reaches the inner smaller rollers,
then turn on your printer and see if it rejects the sheet automatically.

If not then press the resume button to force the printer to eject the sheet that may clear the sensor error..

I would think you should be able to fly without the tickets. You just need to identify yourself to the airline. Usually the credit card that was used to make the purchase will work, if you have that. Call the airline if you have questions. Meanwhile, read the printer directions. Usually there are several places where the printer must be opened to clear a jam.
