Hi,

I'm using Canon Pixma MG5370 for 2 months. I found that the cost of using OEM ink quite high cost. I decided to use compatible ink which i bought it yesterday. The problem is the refill ink can't detected by the printer. How i'm going to solve this? MG5370 using CLI-726M, CLI-726Y, CLI-726C, CLI-726BK and PGI-725PGBK.

All of them! LOL
Did you refill the original OEM and reset them? Or did you buy compatible NON OEM carts?

I bought new tanks but i don't know is it really OEM compatible. It wrote for CLI-726 C,Y,MBk and CLI-725PGBK. Even the man who sold it said it is for MG5370. Do i need to reset anything?

Looks like the printer is rejecting your chips. You better get back to person who sold them to you.

There is another alternative to buying compatible pre-filled cartridges to reduce the cost of OEM inks while using your printer.

The CLI-726/725 cartridges are opaque so it is a little hard to refill them because you dont know how muck ink to put in them,
so you can use the clear (See through) 521/721/221 whichever ones that are available in your location.

Take the chip from your current empty Canon cartridges and place them on the new set and just refill them instead,
if you can get resetter for the 726 chip then get one or using ARC chips maybe a better alternative..

Thank you for all the suggestions. I went back to the store and they checked my printer. Actually something wrong with the chip. They replaced the tank with new one and the problems gone. The Hat what is ARC chip? Sorry, i'm new to all this.

Its good to hear your back printing again.

The compatible cartridges you are now using have whats called one time chips so
when the cartridge shows empty you will have to discard them.

You had the choice of using Canon chips with new OEM 725/726 cartridges thad came with your printer,
but if you dont have a resetter for these chips when they show empty then you wont have any ink monitoring.

But if you ever intend to refill your OEM cartridges or the other cartridges suggested above then
youll have to have a resetter so you can continue to use these cartridges,
or to answer your question you can also use a set of Automatic Reset Chips which dont need a resetter..
