It’s liable to arrive in a very large box with loads of bubble wrap.. :ep
Nope. The Fedex tracking page shows the box as 14x6x20 in. Same damage liable to happen!

Could it be the case that the driver is as thick as the paper then ?
This shouldn’t happen twice and if it does then management needs to act firmly..

There are a lot more people (and machinery) than the final Fedex driver involved between Canon's warehouse in PLEASANT PRAIRIE, Wisconsin and my doorstep. That said, it's the SHIPPER'S responsible to provide adequate packaging for transport so that it get's to me undamaged (t least for most shipments in the US).

It seems I got it right, it is in a bigger box but getting lower priority delivery the second time.
I reckon the management needs to be fired for hiring such dip sticks.. :idunno

As somebody wiser than I once said, "The first myth about management is that it even exists."

In the cases as documented above the first step is to promote the guilty - they have evidence that can get you fired! and they know where the bodies are buried. Don't mess with them.

Step two is blame the uninvolved. They don't have a clue about the situation, and their explanations will sound like weak excuses.

As for the firing part - you save that for the efficient people who make you look bad, or thwarted one of your ingenious like ideas, or people you just find a general pain in the neck.

You get the idea. It is all really quite simple.

What makes this deal even more ridiculous is, if you avail of the $49 Pro 100 promotion and then register your purchase, you can get a further 50% off these paper prices also. :th

Well, the replacement package just arrived. The box corners were damaged. Took photos. Opened her up and YUP!, corners of the 13 x 19 paper folded/dented. Called Canon to report the second shipment as damaged in transit, and found out that "our system is down, please call back in an hour". Probably being overwhelmed by "damaged in transit" complaints?? I suspect they will replace again with no change in packaging methods.

Anybody else experience this?

And the definition of insanity is??

the inner packing is just inadequate, Canon will replace it I guess but the next shipment will look similar, they'll just hit a different corner next time. As long as Canon does not instruct the warehouse with specific packaging rules nothing will change. And I don't think that this is a specific Fedex etc problem, I have seen that as well
in Germany several times. O.K., that's not the prime reason that I use roll paper mainly.
